1. W
hat is my evidence?

I have included a small sample of photographs that demonstrate this standard by showing a range of activities throughout my unit. Some of these include:
  • Graffiti wall
  • What's in a picture?
  • Tuning in with literature and media - Behind the News clips
  • Hot potato
  • Think, Pair, Share
  • Jigsaw
2. At which career stage am I demonstrating the standard?

I believe I am demonstrating this standard at the Proficient stage.
  • Structure teaching programs using research and collegial advice about how students learn.
  • Develop teaching activities that incorporate differentiated strategies to meet the specific learning needs of students across the full range of abilities.

3. How does the evidence demonstrate the standard?

I believe that the learning activities planned within my unit, demonstrate the identified standard above by catering for all identified students within my class. The activities within the unit, allow for differentiation and caters for all learning styles.
I used a variety of teaching strategies to cater for all individuals and allowed for opportunities where students could work individually, in pairs and in groups to discuss the context of our unit.
Students created posters, KWL charts and used the "What's in a picture" strategy as a Tune in activity.
